TMH Board Chair and founder George Smart welcomes your calls and e-mails.  He can be reached at

Over the last three decades, Boeing, Microsoft, GSK, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the CIA, and nearly 400 other organizations have all consulted George Smart for leadership development and executive coaching -- to make the workplace less insane and more profitable.  The son of a Raleigh architect, for years he had no interest whatsoever in architecture.  Then in 2007, late at night, something happened.  He was innocently Googling late one night and his life changed forever.

George is Chair and Founder of Triangle Modernist Archive, the largest historical preservation website for modernist residential architecture in America. For those of you who can’t sleep, you’ve heard his voice on the History Channel.  His book, The Knights Templar Chronology, has sold literally dozens of copies and a documentary based on his book airs almost every month. His compelling and entertaining keynote, Mayberry Modernism, shares how North Carolina became  the third largest concentration of Modernist houses in the country.  His keynote talk, Mayberry Modernism, has entertained audiences all across North Carolina from Asheville to Wilmington.  He has also presented at the School of Architecture at North Carolina State University’s College of Design.
