George Smart is Chair and Executive Director of the nonprofit Triangle Modernist Archive, Inc, host to North Carolina Modernist Houses (NCMH), America's largest open digital archive for Modernist residential architecture. With 12 national, statewide, and local awards, NCMH is a role model for advancing preservation and raising public appreciation of Modernist design. He is one of the hosts of USModernist Radio, going where no architecture podcast has gone before. George's entertaining keynote, Mayberry Modernism, shares how North Carolina became the third largest concentration of Modernist houses in the country.
