Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto was born on February 3, 1898, in Kuortane, Finland. He was an architect and designer. He is a versatile artist whose creations span various fields, including architecture, furniture, textiles, and glassware. In addition, he is also known for his sculptures and paintings.
As a student, he built his first paintings of architecture, a house for his parents placed at Alajärvi. Later, he pursued his schooling and, in the end, graduated in 1921.
In the summer of 1922, he began his navy career and completed it at Hamina Reserve Officer Training School. In June 1923, Alvar Henrik Aalto was promoted to order 2nd lieutenant.
